Another week has ended. A new week is set to begin. I hope your weekends went swimmingly. Maybe some of you even swam somewhere? The weather sure has been warm enough, right? I don’t really know, I’m just saying that. For all I know eighty-five percent of the country could be covered in snow.
Well, since you asked…my day was nice. I went shopping this morning for groceries and toiletries, then I had a good healthy lunch, and then I spent the afternoon joking around with Steve. We walked down the street drinking matching pink smoothies. It was kind of magical. Then we sneaked into the premiere for that Les Claypool movie just so I could steal a gift bag. I thought it’d be “cool” to steal a gift bag, but the contents of said bag turned out to be a pretty big bummer. Also, one of the films at the festival (that the Les Claypool movie is part of) is Get Thrashed, a Heavy Metal documentary on which Ken performed some post-production work.
But you don’t even care, do you? Here’s your Mix Tape you ungrateful cur!
RULES for uninitiated noobs: With 100MB of webspace, I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. This is another week without a theme. There is new music from The Books and Melt Banana. There’s Ben Reynolds and Leannan Sith. There’s Charles Manson and Iannis Xenakis. Those two have nothing in common, but I felt like making a joke right there, and I did. Anyway, these songs will be removed if desired by the band or those who represent them. Let me know and I will gladly comply. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
