I’ve been battling a head cold all weekend. It sure does suck! Of course, lest you think I would deprive you of a Sunday Mix Tape, here I am to help alleviate those fears.
RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. There’s kind of a theme tonight, it’s a mix of synth-y post-punk and dark ambient drones. There are a few cuts that lean closer to the pop realm, but for the most part they’re on the experimental side of the musical spectrum. Also, I threw in another 45 played at the wrong speed for you, another Them cut (Gloria!). Kinda awesome, right? The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
