It’s been unseasonably warm in Los Angeles for the past few days. Like, low-90s with some humidity, at least during the middle of this past week. I guess the result has been a lot of drinking – you know, to keep cool – and of course regular functions like running and sleeping were made difficult. Today was the L.A. Marathon and I have to admit that fighting through continued injuries for the past couple years has made me quite jealous of all those who were competing and achieving their goals this morning. I think I’m up to five miles now once a week and 3.1 – 4 miles one day a week so I am very slowly building back up my stamina, and hope to run a pain-free 13.1 at some point this year. Finishing another 26.2 is a distant goal for me now.
On the plus side, they lit up all the mile markers with spotlights on Friday evening, which was very beautiful when viewed from afar. Check it out.
Yeah, that’s about enough for tonight. Uninspired. Here’s your mix tape.
RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. No theme this week. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
