How is your weekend going, valued reader?
I’d hoped for quiet time spent writing a new short story I’ve been trying to sort out in my head, but an opportunity to go out on the town presented itself last night and I could not refuse. Poor Ben was supposed to go on a date but needed a ride to get to the venue. So not only did I agree to drop him off, but I promised to stick around (with other friends, of course) and spy from afar to make him feel as uncomfortable and off-his-game as possible. Yes, I am the worst friend a guy could have. Yes, it was as hilarious as I imagined it would be. The couple left together, but whether or not he got laid remains TBD. As for the rest of us, we wound up at a Mexican restaurant/bar drinking cloying margaritas. I hate sour mix. I should have stayed at the whiskey bar.
Now here we are. You and me. Together. Wanna see my mix tape?
RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. No theme tonight. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
