Sunday Mix Tape Number 264

2-6-4-8 who do we appreciate!?

People with dyslexia.

I’m learning to appreciate the quiet side of life. Like not so much drinking. Like showing up to work without a hangover. Like having a few extra bills in my wallet. It’s a good thing, too, because I’m about to drop $2400 to fix my car this week (loooong story, let’s just say it involves a Hollywood waitress, a lot of whiskey, and a fucked up car!) plus the $600 I’m still paying off for when they glued my eye back together Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in February. Speaking of which, how much do you think an original, one-of-a-kind emergency room wristband of mine would sell for on the open market? Reader Bennett seems to think it’d fetch a prettier penny if I had died, but I don’t like to think in such macabre terms.

Well, yes I do.

Like this week’s mix tape, for example!

RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. This week’s theme is, well, obvious. All of these songs reference whiskey either by title or by lyrics. With the exception of the Scout Niblett song, which only mentions drinking and popping pills, but I like to think all the cool kids who mix booze and pills drink whiskey. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
