Good Sunday, friends. Today was one of those perfect lazy days when you wake up (in a bagel-less house, oh, the horror!), head out to the market, and then spend the afternoon eating nachos and drinking strawberry champagne in the company of good people. Everyone professed their love for one another. It was rather beautiful in a warm and fuzzy way. Tonight I think I’m staying in. Last night was the first night in a while that did not end with me drunkenly passing out somewhere, though I did alter my state and try to watch an episode of LOST with Ilya…but my laptop’s battery has been on the fritz, so the computer shut down after maybe twenty minutes. I slept.

RULES for uninitiated noobs: With 100MB of webspace, I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. This week is a real potpourri. I tried to remember all the different subjects that were broached this past week (freewrites about love, news stories about abstinence, “Evan Rock”, drink and drug, zombies, getting hit on by homos) and choose songs that were in some way related to those themes. I think I did alright. There is some “Evan Rock,” some love songs, some drink and drug songs, and some of the weird tunes you should now be accustomed to. Also, the Japanese Bob Dylan (Masato Tomobe) and two Soft Machine tracks! Thank Ian for that one. As always, these songs will be removed if desired by the band or those who represent them. Let me know and I will gladly comply. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
