My first day back home was fairly uneventful. My father woke me from slumber to ask if I wanted breakfast from Dunkin’ Donuts. Why eat real eggs when I can have microwaved fake eggs, I always say! Their patented breakfast sammich tasted like cardboard that smelled of bacon. The frozen coffee was alright, if you’re into that sort of thing. I stopped off at the other place of residence to unload the trunk of my car and bring in the mail. There’s enough beer in my room right now to get us all loaded. Something like fifteen 22 ounce bottles and forty 12 ounce bottles of high ABV brews. I hope it lasts. After unpacking I went down to work but my work had already been done for me so I looked busy and watched some television. Mets lost. Called Z to meet at Qdoba and had a free burrito on them, because they e-mailed me a coupon for a free burrito on my birthday. For some reason I gave Z $4 (via $2 bill, a silver dollar and a gold dollar–how fucking cool am I?) to cover the cost of my soda. Came home and zoned out for a while. Still reeling a bit from the long travel week and little sleep. Listened to a lot of the new records, they all sound really good. One of the Sonora Pine records has some fuzz, but it’s nothing a little D4 solution won’t fix. Heartstrings being tugged. Missing people is not easy.
This is Sunday Mix Tape (un)lucky number thirteen.
