Days of Whine and Jew Noses

I’m starting to gather my belongings together for departure on Saturday. It’s like a milder version of last July. I only need a few days worth of clothes and maybe two or three maps. From New Jersey to Chicago and Louisville is no big deal. I just have to make sure to have enough blank tapes and batteries. That’s about all. Maybe I’ll print a couple copies of the first draft of the book to show people if they’re interested. I think I’m also going to make an appointment to meet with a headhunter in Chicago to see what the employment situation is like there. This would be in addition to gathering as many local papers as possible to survey job opportunities. I’m leaving Saturday morning, I should get there Sunday evening. I’m busy with a family wedding Friday night, so if you want to see me before I leave tomorrow and Thursday are your best bets.

Work today is so boring I might take one of these baseball bats lying around and beat my brains in. The raccoon came back, looking all fat and hairy. As I was closing up the shop last night I pulled out of the parking lot and there was this lump of flesh in the street with bloody tire marks all around it. I secretly hoped it was the raccoon, but when I pulled up this morning I saw it was actually some kind of bird.

Meanwhile, all I’ve been doing today is watching YouTube videos. Tomorrow I’ll have more to rant about because I won’t be updating from work.
