SUNDAY MIX TAPE – VOLUME 1

Hi. I need a hobby!

Bearing this in mind, it’s time to add a new feature to the blog. It’s called “Sunday Mix Tape,” because Sunday’s are very lazy, and mostly I sit around listening to records or sleeping. So I figured, why not share some tunes with friends to let them know what I’m listening to? The rules are pretty simple. I’ve got about 100MB of free webspace and every week I’ll make a new mix tape for yer iPod’s and your kingklangs or whatever you kids use to listen to music these days. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together (yeah, I smell a “bands recorded by Albini” mix in the future, too). This will be removed if desired by the band or those who represent them. Let me know and I will gladly comply. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll buy their albums.

**MP3’S WERE REMOVED ON 2/4/06. **
E-MAIL ME IF YOU NEED HELP FINDING THESE SONGS.**

Last night was a blast. I drove into the city for Sarah’s birthday party. She had a bunch of folks meet up at Slainte, an Irish pub on Bowery. It’s always a blast to hang out with her and the few friends of hers that I know. Good times were had making uncouth jokes with Anna and her friend Yani, Rob from Chicago (who used to write for Pitchfork so I have to watch how I choose to slander them in the future), and some other people I met. Apparently one of Sarah’s brother’s friends (Josh) was the inspiration for that book/movie “Searching for Bobby Fischer.” Who knew?!
