I’m at work, the hands of the clock could not move slower. No one is here. I’ve helped two customers. I am spending my time browsing websites for jobs, reading “The Watchmen” and doing crossword puzzles. The old man with the hearing aides walked in before and waved hello, but when I wished him a happy new year he just kept on treading along, right past me and out to the range. Yeah, it’s a shitty tale of unemployed twenty-something ennui, but some poor schmuck has to live it.
Although I haven’t recorded last night’s cosmic jam to the hard drive of my computer yet, I listened back and there are some excellent segments to choose from. The bass riffs–which are all pretty good, if I may say so myself– are right there in your face, loud and up front. The guitar exploration sits very nicely beneath it, perfectly audible and spacey. The drums are steady and at times very enrapturing. You’re in for a treat. I like this more than anything else I’ve recorded in those impromptu sessions, so if you’re going to take the time to download any of the [shit] music I post here, make sure it’s these tunes.
Marsha informed me that Zoya awoke a few days ago and has been moved to a different hospital. The doctors are pretty sure she’s going to make a full recovery. Her head seems to be fine, which is very good news. Her hip will take about three months to heal, but that’s secondary at the moment.
