Louisville chapter is moving along. I actually don’t mind the way that the Tim Furnish interview (by far the shortest) reads. Having Will Chatham’s verbose answers alongside it will paint a much clearer picture of a VERY important band in a region that pretty much serves as an epicenter for the underground movement in the late 80’s and early 90’s. I’m starting to think about how I’m going to fill the chapter out, because my interviews with Stephen George and JK McKnight weren’t recorded/transcribed. I’m thinking about sending out some more interview requests, and if I get any hits maybe I’ll just get in my car and go for a drive someday soon. It’s not like I have anything holding me down here at the moment.
In other news, Jet finally finished proofreading and editing the Chicago chapter, so now I can look forward to even more useful advice for how to go about altering the interviews with Tim Midgett, Jeff Mueller and Rich Fessler. I’ve also got a put in a call to a certain Chicagoan to try and schedule an interview to take place out there, so I guess no matter what I’ll be taking another trip in the next few months. At least I might get a free steak out of my Chicago trek…
