I’m going to be out for the day so this update will be concise. In about an hour I’m meeting my cousin at the airport because she has a layover her way home from Colombia (dammit Gretchen, don’t you dare correct a man when he’s talking!). I don’t think I’ve seen her since her wedding? She’s pregnant now, due in May or June. She’s got a special place in my heart because she (when she wasn’t in Africa or the Middle East or South America) took care of me when I was in Vermont and my unhealthy habits were destroying my body.
After that I’ll be in the city drinking and eventually catching the Serena Maneesh show at Mercury Lounge. I anticipate an insanely loud, rocking time. Also, I’ll be able to purchase a copy of their album without having to pay over twenty-five dollars for an imported version. Once I’m nice and drunk in the wee hours of the morning, I’ll have to drive myself home. High five!
