YURT

The bar last night was alright, I guess. I started with an Oatmeal Stout, moved on to a Goose Island Honker (Belgian Ale) and a Paulaner. I’m slowly working my way through their menu. That’s one of my goals for 2006. You know, other than like, finishing the book and getting a job. It’s in the top three,I guess.

Today I drove down to Princeton and pretty much spent my Christmas (or, Holiday, for those of us who are trying to stick it to Bill O’Reilly) bonus on records. The best purchases included a copy of Are You Experienced (UK!) ($6.99) and super cheap copies of The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan ($3.99) and Nevermind the Bollocks Here’s the Sex Pistols ($4.99), both of which were incredibly exciting finds. I also got two Miles Davis albums I’ve been looking for (Miles Ahead and Green Haze), some more Byrds, Zeppelin, and Neil Young (On the Beach and Time Fades Away). They had a copy of Elvis Presley (the self-titled first album on RCA from ’56) but it was in really rough shape so I figured it wasn’t worth it.

Justin found a nice copy of Pet Sounds for $6.99 and Ian a copy of Chairs Missing, other than that I wasn’t interested much in what they bought, but there was probably some cool stuff in there.
