EHL R&R In Savannah, GA (Day 9)

This morning I was awoken at roughly 8am. I looked outside. Oh, hello Baltimore! You look marvelous and serene on this sunny morning. That rain last night was pretty intense, no? The sky shot infinite droplets from cannons hidden deep inside clouds. Windows were fogged, it was difficult to see. The hotel was alright. I was on the 11th floor, which is really maybe only the 8th floor if you count the parking garage as floors. I had a view of an office building, and a tiny sliver of the harbor. So yeah, I got dressed and packed my bags and ate a nice buffet for breakfast (eggs, bacon, potatoes, biscuit, bagel). Then commenced walking three or so piers along the inner harbor. It was blustery and windy and the area was unusually silent. At first, I thought the streets were entirely dead, but slowly people began crossing my path. Eventually as I made it towards one of the million mini-mall/food court buildings that dot the landscape more people began to emerge. I guess they were seeking refuge from the cold.

Walked for a good amount of time, got to soak in a lot of the skyline before trudging back along the city streets, past different plaques that denoted stops along the Civil War era “Riot Path” or some such moniker that was used to describe a confederate uprising in the Baltimore area. Made it back to the hotel after a short while and then proceeded directly to the car.

Now here is nowhere. Again.
Signing off until whenever (tomorrow, probably).
