Sunday Mix Tape Number 283

It’s been a busy day, people. I was up at 6am preparing to run the Los Angeles Halloween Half-Marathon downtown. I’ll write a full recap tomorrow when more details/photos have been posted, but I did pretty well I think. Well, for me I did well. I did not set a personal record or anything, but I was happy with when/how I finished. After the race I had to run to work, where I spent the next eight hours vacillating between energized and totally exhausted. Then I came home and all I wanted to do was go to bed but I got suckered into watching a sporting event and then a cable drama. Now I have to make this mix tape and then I can go to bed. Sweet, sweet bed. I can’t wait. Let’s get this shit over with, shall we?

RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. No theme this week, but there are some covers (those Chrome ones I mentioned the other day) and a cut from the new Emeralds album, which might be their best yet. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
