Hard to believe it’s been a full month since I saw Bongripper melt my face off at Complex over in Glendale. That was “The Way Of The Shred Tour” with Goya and Yidhra. Since that night, TWO shows I’ve wanted to see at Complex were cancelled. Locrian (band cancelled for personal reasons), and Cut Hands (unknown reason). Thankfully, Bongripper did not cancel their show.
I have no idea what their setlist was, but the last full show they played before coming to LA where as setlist is available was Roadburn in April. On that night they played, “The Great Barrier Reefer,” “Satan,” “Doom,” “Zero Talent,” “Worship,” and “Hate Ashbury.” While I am no expert in distinguishing one Bongripper song from the next, that sounds about accurate because they played six or seven songs and I loved every single deafening moment of it.
