Just in time for the holidays (but probably a little TOO close to make a difference) I’ve slashed the price of the first release on Swan Fungus Records, Todd’s With Love…From Me To You LP from $16 PPD to $13 PPD in the United States (that’s $10 + $3 shipping). For international customers who were paying $32 before (sorry, USPS 1st Class International shipping is shockingly expensive!) it’s now $29. I’ve got a few of the hand-numbered clear vinyl LPs left and a bunch of the black vinyl. I don’t know how many of the signed notes from Todd have been found to this point, but I think I’ve been emailed by about 5 people who found one? That means there are still more randomly inserted notes/autographs up for grabs. You can buy the LP either from me directly, or from BandCamp. Stay tuned for an announcement about the new reissue, SL002, shortly after the New Year. It’s gonna be a good one.
The Player Piano IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign has had its biggest week yet, raising a ton of money (including two $1,000+ donations) in the past couple days alone. This is in part due to the Nintendo On The Spot video, which went mini-viral last week (300,000 views in just a few days) thanks to a post on Reddit that eventually found its way over to popular news sites/blogs like Kotaku and The Mary Sue. This is all well and good, but Swan Fungus itself has only directed about $250 worth of donations to the campaign. I expect more from you people! This is a unique creative artistic venture I’m passionate about, and y’all aren’t chipping in and helping nearly as much as you did when I undertook solely selfish fundraising campaigns like “BUY ME A CAMERA” or “BUY ME A TURNTABLE” or “PAY FOR MY BOOZE AND COKE FILLED PARTY BUS!” I know times are tough for all of us, but as little as $5 gets you a Twitter High Five from yours truly, and you can donate as much as…well, the perks get pretty pricey if you want Tom and Sonya to fly to your house and perform for you and your friends. But any amount is a good amount as far as I’m concerned. As of my writing this (a $75 donation just arrived in my inbox 4 minutes ago) we’ve raised 36.66% of our goal amount, and are a $5 donation away from cracking the $22,000 threshold. I think with your support we can reach $25,000 by the end of the weekend. Prove to me that Swan Fungus readers can still come together for a good cause and support artists so they can keep doing what they love.
