This one is just too cool to pass up. It came through the store back in 2008 when we were processing some vinyl that came from one of the most insane memorabilia collections I’ve seen in my short tenure there. We purchased a veritable TON of items from the estate of Herb Cohen, and in and amongst the weird recording contracts and receipts from European tours and press kits and promo items and FREAK MAPS and Absolutely Free librettos and all that good shit…was a copy of a private press record that’s mostly known as an “AOR” singer-songwriter record that in recent times sells for about $150 – $300 depending on condition. Of course, none of those copies came with a black-and-white 8×10 promo photo and handwritten note to Herb Cohen looking for a recording contract/management, so that makes this copy a little more unique than all others!
It’s not very good.
