Sunday Mix Tape Number 339

Oh, God it’s going to be a busy week. And I’m still under the weather. I’d better figure out how to get myself back in fine fettle quick or I might just inadvertently kill myself. It seems like every time I come home from work thinking to myself, “I’m going to lock myself in my room and sweat it out and get a full night of sleep” something interrupts my plan and I wake up the next morning feeling even worse. I even went to the 24-hour drop-in clinic yesterday (second time in two weeks!) in the hopes that they’d send me home with something to either ease my suffering or eradicate whatever virus/infection might have been ravaging my system. Alas, it’s the sort of thing I just have to grin and bear until it runs its course. Sucks.

I got a nasal spray, so whatever good that’s gonna do…I haven’t figured out yet.

Ahem.

The Todd record continues to sell at a surprising pace! I shipped two more clear vinyl orders this week and am sending another two boxes to LITA because they’ve run through almost their entire first order already. Not bad, right? To sell 89% of your allotment in a span of a couple weeks? A store I used to frequent on the East Coast even wrote to get their hands on some today, so I’ll be sending more their way soon as well. Remember, the only way to get the limited edition clear vinyl is through me, either via Swan Fungus Records, Discogs, or eBay.

If you don’t care about clear vinyl, there’s the black vinyl edition as well. You can buy those via Bandcamp. 10 of the black vinyl copies have hand-written and signed notes by Todd himself tucked inside! At this point I have no idea where those copies are, or if they’ve already been sold. If you got one, by all means let me know. There have been a couple more digital and physical sales through the Swan Fungus Bandcamp page as well, which is nice to see. If you haven’t already, you should pick up a copy of the record. Support Todd, support this website, and grab a unique (and limited!) “real people” / “vanity” music artifact at the same time. Don’t have a turntable? The digital release is just $4. That’s, like, 50 cents per song. You can afford it, trust me.

Now how about a mix tape?

RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. No theme this week. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
