How was your weekend? Mine was fun. On Friday night I saw Pacific Rim with Adam. It was fun if you could ignore the cliches and some bad acting. I mean, what’s not to love about giant robots fighting giant reptiles?
Nothing. Nothing’s not to love.
Last night I went on a beachside romantic dinner date in Malibu, which was quite nice. Followed it up by watching one of the worst movies I’ve seen in a very long time (The Paperboy) and playing with some cats. Yeah, it’s almost as if I’m being…domesticated. Dammit! Why do women have that effect on me?
Oh, and I worked plenty of overtime this past week, worked all weekend, and there’s a sliver of a chance I’m going to get a day off this week. Of course, there’s always a chance I won’t get a day off this week, and my downward spiral into incapacitating exhaustion will continue.
For now, mix tape.
RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. No theme this week. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
