One would think that with a belly full of analgesics this mix tape would skew towards the quieter, dronier side of my music collection, but alas I’m not as euphoric and blissed-out as I thought I’d be. So you’re left with these little nuggets, most of which (and by that I mean those that are culled from forthcoming “new releases” in 2013) I found on my hard drive. Sometimes I stockpile new songs that I’ll listen to in a long marathon session. Using some (Mikal Cronin, Mogwai, Kurt Vile) helped me get through the backlog of music that’s building up quicker than I can get through it.
Not much else to report here. I’m gonna go lay down. Enjoy.
RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. No theme tonight. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
