We’re rapidly approaching (just kidding, we’re 20 weeks away!) from Sunday Mix Tape 300. That’s…that’s an insane amount of music. It adds up to between 3,000 – 4,500 songs I’ve shared with you from my personal archives. If you’ve been here since the beginning, well…I don’t want to tell you how many better ways there are to spend your time that you’ve missed out on.
…to spend your time on which you’ve missed out.
…to spend your time on which you’ve out…missed? HOW DO YOU END THAT SENTENCE WITHOUT USING A PREPOSITION!?
I was bored earlier and I read a recent-ish interview with Swan Fungus Unobtainable Crush Of The Moment, Chelsea Wolfe. She cited D.H. Lawrence’s “Sons And Lovers” during said interview. Guys. That book is sitting on my desk RIGHT NOW. I’m reading it for the second time (first time since college). I think…I think this is fate.
Sorry, did I say fate? What I meant to say was, “I think this is an-extreme-coincidence-that-means-aboslutely-nothing-to-anbody-so-don’t-bother-paying-attention-to-that-comment-oh-and-just-by-my-saying-it-I-probabyl-now-appear-to-be-some-kind-of-creepy-Mark-David-Chapman-type.” Yeah, that’s it. That’s what I meant.
Mix Tape? Sure, why not.
RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. No theme. Or is there? YOU TELL ME! The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
