Sunday Mix Tape Number 266

Today we have a lovely mixture of music for your perusal. Because it’s Sunday. And on the 7th day, God (that’s me!) created the Sunday Mix Tape.

I don’t have anything else to say because I’m exhausted and I want to get this over with so I can go to bed.

RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. Is there a theme this week? Eh, not really. A continuation of jazz that I’ve been listening to lately has seeped into an otherwise cool-and-hip selection of rock, pop and indie music. Remember the Emery Reel? I loved that record. Also 1 Mile North! Aidan Baker! There’s about as much ambient music as there is jazz, plus some rock, and one really terrible soul/funk cut from a Travis Biggs record that I owned until very recently (hint: I sold it because I didn’t think it was very good). The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
