Hoo boy. What a weekend. I think it might be time to swear off alcohol again. At least for a little while. Party Friday night, party Saturday night, working all the while. My bones are tired, guys. I don’t know how how much you’re going to get out of me tonight. Maybe I should just skip forward to the mix tape.
One exciting news tidbit. I registered to run the Las Vegas marathon again in December. Remember how much I hated training for it last time? And then remember how adorable it was when I bared my soul and admitting to crying like a baby when I finished the 26.2 mile run? Yeah, I just paid to do it again. I’ve already promised everyone that I won’t make as big a deal out of it this time around — because that shit’s for beginners — so consider that you’re notice. You’re free to read this without me being all self-absorbed and talking about it like an ass.
Just kidding. You know my word means nothing. I’ll be writing about the process from August 1st until raceday December 2nd.
RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. This week’s theme is nosie, which is probably a byproduct of some frustrations I’ve been dealing with of late. Also, a lot of artists who either haven’t been featured in a while (Jazzfinger! Usaisamonster) and some who have never been featured before (Inade! Kyrgyz! Gang Wizard!). Lots and lots of noise. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
