Sunday Mix Tape Number 256

Hey. How’s it going? What’d you think of Game Of Thrones tonight? Pretty sweet, no? Shit’s about to get crazy…

Are you aware that the Lyrid meteor shower is ongoing through tonight and tomorrow, and that in the midnight-to-dawn hours tonight (Sunday) and tomorrow (Monday) you have the opportunity to see dozens of meteors per hour shooting across the sky? As an amateur avid star-watcher — that’s how I define someone who enjoys meteor showers but little else — you know I’ll be up at some high point in the LA area with some warm bourbon and good company tonight and tomorrow. You’d be wise to do the same, especially if you live in the western United States, where the visibility will be better.

Until then, here’s your mix tape!

RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. This week features…no, wait. There is no theme! The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
