I’m taking a 24-hour break from photo sharing because it’s Sunday and I might be lynched by my readers if I don’t offer a mix tape for download. I think there’s only one (maybe two?) more days worth of photos to share, then I’ll get back in the swing of regular updates about how “indie” music sucks and Baby Boomers need to die already and Amelia McDick-Party at the Frisky is a pathetic loser.
I’m running a fucking marathon in 14 days. I’m scared shitless because I have no idea what to expect. Am I going to be able to finish? Am I going to die? I don’t know! I’ve done 18 miles, I’ve done 20 miles…but 26? That seems impossible. I mean, not impossible…but…you know…it’s a distance I haven’t reached before, so the idea of it is causing me distress.
Is anybody reading this? Does anybody care?
RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. This week features a lot of music from 2011, as well as a cut from the 40th Anniversary Edition of Can’s Tago Mago. Plus some other stuff. It’s right there, like two inches below this paragraph. See for yourself! The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
