So many apologies for the lack of updates this week. Thursday night was trivia night and I drank way too much for my own good. According to my trivia teammates I was shouting at the end of the night for the remainder of whatever bottle we were being poured shots from all night. I guess I was under the impression that it was OUR bottle, and we were entitled to every last ounce of liquor in said bottle. Also — and this is slightly embarrassing — I passed out on the floor at my mom’s place and she had to put me in bed. The next morning all she said to me was, “What portion of the marathon was last night training you for?” Luckily my sister spoke up first and said, “We’re training his liver.” You can’t run without a liver. Whether it’s fully-functional or semi-functional…that might make some degree of difference.
I worked the WFMU record fair all weekend (I’ll write a wrap-up tomorrow), and yesterday (Saturday) there was a pretty decent snowstorm (it seems weird to say that since I’m totally LA’d out now and don’t experience winter anymore, and also snowstorms are unusual in New Jersey during October). My mom got stranded in the city and couldn’t take a train home so I had to pick her up and drive back to NJ with her from the show. It took a while as several county roads were closed due to live power lines being down and at least three dozen trees blocking the roads we were trying to traverse. I don’t want to sound like a pussy or anything, but I’ve never seen so many downed trees in my life. Also we were without power all night, which made blogging impossible. Sorry!
