Last night’s screening of The Room was pretty ridiculous. Crazy kids with handles of hard liquor, weed, and Costco-size boxes of spoons to be hurled back and forth for the duration of the film. It was about as good an experience as I could have hoped for newbies Tom, Nicci and Troy. You can’t live in Los Angeles and ignore this shit. It’s pretty much the most amazing moviegoing experience that has ever existed. Even if, at 27, you feel like the oldest person in attendance.
I updated the official Swan Fungus concert calendar…so, there’s that.
Do all of you “Like” Swan Fungus? You know, do you “Like” it in the Facebook sense? In the event that you don’t, I’ve got a little incentive for you to go public with your affection. In the spirit of the holidays, I’m going to give away THREE Swan Fungus t-shirts to THREE readers who follow the exploits of Swan Fungus on Facebook. Just click the little “Like” button on the Facebook widget located on the left sidebar of this page. At that point you’ll receive no more than one daily notification when a new entry is posted, you’ll be able to converse with other readers in the discussion forum, you can call me a fag whenever you want, and you’ll be entered in the contest to win a free t-shirt. Three of you will win. Its the chance of a lifetime…if your life expectancy is very short…and if you don’t get out much.
Now, who wants a Sunday Mix Tape?
RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. No theme this week! The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
