Nicci sang a song in her friend’s one-man show tonight. I couldn’t make it in time to see her, but I did make it to Aroma Coffee & Tea for a delicious crispy chicken wrap! Then we went to her friend’s house for some beers and snacks and conversation. Then we came home and watch what is now officially the worst movie I’ve ever seen in my entire life. It’s called Hanger. It’s about a fetus that gets aborted via coat hanger (yes, they show the coat hanger inserted into the vagina and the baby being pulled out) and thrown in the trash, but somehow it lives and is raised by a homeless man. And then when it turns 18 it learns of its history and vows revenge. It’s just…the worst. I might write a full review tomorrow. Until then, here’s a mix tape to get you through the night.
RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. No theme tonight. This is all very last minute. If you guess what it is — use the comments section — you’ll win a prize. I won’t tell you what the prize is, but I’ll need your mailing address. And you’ll want to invest in some kind of water-based lubricant. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
