I’m going tonight with Tom, Nate, and Mark to hear Michael Giacchino conduct the music of LOST with a full orchestra. It’s going to be amazing, as I’ve spent the last few minutes feeling chills as I watched videos of this week’s rehearsals. Mark asked for directions to the Hall, so I figured I would look at the tickets to see if they had an address printed on them. I hadn’t opened the envelope they were mailed in yet. When I opened it, I realized that the tickets were printed to look like Oceanic Airlines boarding passes. Insert nerdgasm here. Oh, and yes I blurred out my seat location. I don’t want any of you fuckers coming to find me and say hello. I want to remain slightly anonymous.
Following the concert there will be appearances by Nestor Carbonell (Richard Alpert), Naveen Andrews (Sayid), Jorge Garcia (Hurley) and Michael Emerson (Ben). In addition, “a special preview of the penultimate episode will be screened immediately after the concert.” Whether that means we’re going to be watching “What They Died For” in its entirety is unknown, but I’m seriously excited by the thought of watching one of the show’s finale episodes amongst a community of fans as well as some of the people involved in its creation. I’ll be sure to post a full blog entry tomorrow with details of the event. No pictures allowed. No cell phones allowed. You’ll just have to use my words and your imagination. Sorry!
PS – If there’s a Q&A Bennett, you’d better believe I’m going to raise my hand and ask about the cork! That’s way more important than asking about Walt’s story arc or the Hurley bird.
