Sunday Mix Tape Number 171

I almost skipped this week’s Sunday Mix Tape. There are but four or five days left until my massive Top 100 Albums Of 2009 list is published, and it will contain many, many downloadable songs. I could not think of anything else to blog about today, so I decided I’ll skip next week’s Mix Tape instead. It’s more likely I will feel a hangover from the effort that will go into preparing Friday’s blog post, so it will be nice to skip next Sunday. Of course, my last-minute decision to compile some songs tonight left me with nary an MP3 to choose from on my laptop. I had to find my old, trusty CD collection to grant myself access to enough songs to make this work. I guess it’s technically a bit dated (I don’t buy new CDs anymore, and probably haven’t done so on a regular basis in almost five years). Oh well, I hope you enjoy it in spite of its lack of modern music.

RULES for uninitiated noobs: With roughly 100MB of webspace, I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. No theme this time around! The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
