If you’ve come here from the WFMU blog seeking more photographs of the foliage in New Jersey, I suggest you go back and take a closer look at the pictures I posted over there. Surely you caught all the sasquatch, right? RIGHT? Oh my God. You’re going to sit there and tell me you didn’t see the fucking sasquatch? You? You record collector scum who sits around looking for dust in the grooves of pre-war blues 78s couldn’t find the sasquatch? Here, let me help you (click to enlarge):

Hey everybody else. I went to the doctor this morning. I’m relatively healthy; a little change in my everyday existence, but I am not playing host to a single deadly organism or pathogen! I’d say that’s…pretty good…I guess.
I bought my father lunch today, which I thought was a nice gesture. We had a brief conversation while he ate, and then I departed from his house. I grabbed my camera and decided to go for a hike in the South Mountain Reservation. I don’t think I’ve been there in twenty years, since the days when my family would take our yellow lab Corky on hikes. It was very tranquil, but the foliage there wasn’t as colorful and vibrant as it appeared in other places around town. I guess the smaller trees are obscured and don’t receive much sunlight, so there was still lots of green visible. All over town and on the nearby highways, there are plenty more orange and red colors peppering the landscape. I did see a mother and son walking their yellow lab. When I apporached, the dog was swimming in a shallow creek, but as soon as it noticed me it darted out from the water and raced towards me. Upon reaching me, it lunged at me and soaked me in dirty creek water. Cute pup.
I picked up Z and drove to the Art Park for sunset. Ken and Katie joined us for about 5 seconds before leaving for the art supply store. They drove Z home to a doctor’s appointment, and I wandered around for a bit. Jack called, so I drove over to his house. We picked up Z once he’d returned from his appointment, and went out for dinner. Then we grabbed some bottles of wine to help me with this blog post and the WFMU post. The night is just beginning.
