Sunday Mix Tape Number 151

Is everybody sober yet? Did you enjoy your holiday with family, loved ones and friends? Mine was pretty disappointing, seeing as how for the first time in my life I didn’t know what my “plans” were until the middle of the afternoon. I guess as long as there is a barbecue at the destination things can’t be too bad, but it certainly felt a lot different from past July 4ths. I think next year maybe we’ll have a Swan Fungus party with fine beers and a room filled with despicable elitists. This website should have a massive enough audience by then, I think it could work. Invite only. None of you are invited yet. Not a single one…

I extended the poll that is running — right now! — on the left-hand sidebar for another 24 hours, because no one really visits the website on weekends. It looks pathetic that only 9 people have voted. Remember: In order to vote, you have to register as a user of this website, and being a user does have benefits. Current members just haven’t experienced them yet. Maybe only registered users will be invited to next year’s July 4th party…

Everything else? Eh…sucks, but thanks for asking!

RULES for uninitiated noobs: With roughly 100MB of webspace, I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. It’s starting to feel like summer here, so I’ve decided to spend the next two weeks hastily compiling summer-y songs. All the good ones have been posted in years past, so this year is a rather weak crop. Oh well. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
