The songs on this CD were recorded to a DAT machine on Michael Gira’s desk in his office. He used an Audio-Technica stereo microphone and played seventeen songs. “Rose Of Los Angeles” is an original version immediately recorded as written in 2001. “No Words/No Title 1” and “No Words/No Title 2” are sketches recorded in 2001. The partial version of “All Soul’s Rising” was recorded live in Atlanta, Georgia and features the Angels of Light touring band (Gira/Fondiller/Hahn/Banhart). That represents the only track not recorded in his office. I Am Singing To You From My Room was released in 2004 on Gira’s Young God Records label. The disc was packaged in a plastic cover and limited to 1,000 copies.
