One of my favorite finds at the WFMU Record Fair (of which there were many) was a very cheap and very clean copy of Sexy Pee Story, which was released in 1993 on the Amphetamine Reptile label. I’ve already posted my favorite Cows record (the impeccable Cunning Stunts), and Sexy Pee Story — despite its childish title — picks up right where that record left off. Punky, noisy, loud and rocking, check out “Ch” and “Shitbeard”. Massive. Every song on this record does its part to create a purveying sense of darkness, which is decidedly different from the upbeat and spirited Cunning Stunts
Oh yeah, and they cover a song from Jesus Christ Superstar! Ha! Speaking of which, have you seen that sketch from Mr. Show, “Jeepers Creepers Semi-Star?” Oh man, that was hilarious. I think I love it so much because I, much like Jeepers Creepers, once spent all of my time playing video games and getting high. In fact, until very recently (18-24 months), that was all I did. But now I’ve matured; I’m a grown man, and I frown upon such childish activities. Now that I’m a mature adult, I think it’s important that I fill my life with culture, and intelligent discourse, and a strong sense of morality.
I think it’s funny that the cover of this record shows a stream of pee dripping off a portrait of a woodpecker about to stick its beak into somebody’s butt.
