Sunday, cruddy Sunday. Many of you have to return to work tomorrow. I’m sorry. Some of you worked all weekend like I did. I’m sorry. Some of you are out of work and don’t even know what day of the week or month it is. Uh…I’d say I’m sorry, but I’m actually kind of jealous.
Killdozer is playing here tonight. I’ve been counting down the days since I read about their mini US tour on the Electrical Audio forum. Hopefully they’ll play a good set and fill me with great joy. Slower. Louder. Louder! Slower! Louder! Slower! It’s going to be great, I can feel it. Now here’s your mix tape.
RULES for uninitiated noobs: With roughly 100MB of webspace, I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. This week has a kind of a spiritual/cosmic bent, but only as far as the song titles are concerned. Other than that, there’s a lot of rock and post-rock, but not much else. As always, these songs will be removed if desired by the band or those who represent them. Let me know and I will gladly comply. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
