“This is NOT quality product… The first two tracks suffer from horrible distortion and the bass is three or four times louder than anything else–Dub Black mebbe? The tracks from Manchester Boardwalk are of significantly lower quality than Deathwish, and many songs are cut, to boot. However, this LP does have one song, “Dead Billy,” that was left off the Deathwish–but halfway through it sounds like the taper’s mic got halfway unplugged and we’re treated to a one-channel, bass heavy rendition of the song. The three tracks from the University of London show are exclusive to this release, but sound like shit and the show is circulating among traders in fairly complete form.” – Big Black Discography
