Too bad about that guy, huh? It’s funny — I was just telling one of my co-workers how much loved A Knight’s Tale. I even made a little hand gesture to show how it ranked JUST below The Godfather on my list of all-time favorite movies. I’d make some sort of “gay cowboy eating pudding” joke here…but, the guy died. I should probably wait until they determine the cause of death before I start insulting him.
Because of my inherent need to honor fallen heroes and celebrities within a few days of their passing, I’ve decided that I will mark the departure of Mr. Ledger by cooking up a cheese whiz-filled, bacon-wrapped, deep-fryed hot dog for dinner tomorrow night. Although it’s not exactly uncommon to see bacon-wrapped hot dogs for sale on the streets of Echo Park, I just learned about this particular take on the dish on somebody’s blog. Like that fellow, I will absolutely take photographs of the cheese whiz-filled, bacon-wrapped, deep-fried hot dog production process.
In the meantime, check out these pictures from the trip to Mount Wilson I took with Nicci yesterday. It was cold and rainy in the city yesterday, but a little warm. Not so in the mountains. The temperature actually dropped to a few degrees below freezing, and there was snow accumulation on the road. It’s felt like ages since I’ve seen flurries. Needless to say, the mountains were beautiful. I recommend anyone in the Los Angeles area reading this (who hasn’t already) drive to the Angeles National Forest this week or next — before the temperature begins to rise — and enjoy the winter wonderland.
