Ah, much better. Before we get started, I figured I would reprint for you the mini top five (it’s actually a top six, but who’s counting!) that a lovely Swanfungus reader e-mailed me this weekend. I recently posed a rhetorical question on the topic of women, but since I actually received a legitimate response from one of you, I will reprint it for your reading pleasure. Here are the top five reasons girls like to take without giving, as told by an actual girl!
01 – they don’t realise that their thoughts cannot be read and so they think they are giving, in their mind they are giving, it is just that mind readers are rare and so, often, it seems they are only taking and not… giving.
02 – they do not think they have anything to give
03 – they do not realise you want some of what they have
04 – you do not realise what they are giving you
05 – maybe they’ve had bad receivers in the past and have given up on giving cause no one was doin’ no appreciatin’
05 – they’re takers, hoarders.

RULES for uninitiated noobs: With 100MB of webspace, I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. The theme this week is “A Day In the Life” and the song titles or album titles are pretty much identical to actions that I take every single day. I get so many people asking me what the hell I do with my life, here’s a good idea. I wake up, piss, shower, maybe have a bite to eat, zone out for a while, take a drive, come home, nap, play guitar, eat again, then go out and get blackout-drunk, then sleep. God damn is the last track on this week’s mix incredible or what? Listen to that choir and tell me it’s not the single most beautiful MP3 I’ve posted in the last 96 weeks! As always, these songs will be removed if desired by the band or those who represent them. Let me know and I will gladly comply. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
