SUNDAY MIX TAPE – VOLUME 70

Harold And Maude in the cemetery was a good time last night. The crowd was packed in, it was a very cool experience. I am anticipating nothing short of complete bliss when I get to see Holy Mountain next Sunday. That Mix Tape might have to be postponed if I’m going to be out late, getting drunk and soaking in a few hours of surrealist Jodorowsky goodness.

I spent the early part of today reading in Echo Park. It was a perfect day outside, and very conducive to relaxing with a good book and a liter of water to stave off dehydration. Steve and Ilya swung by and we drove to Green Leaves, where I watched them eat lunch. Hung out at the art park and shared some stories. When the sun burning my arms and neck started to wear on me, I went home, ate some dinner, and watched DVDs with Fawn and Brian.

Thanks for listening, diary. You’re my best friend.

Fuck, this page is pathetic.

RULES for uninitiated noobs: With 100MB of webspace, I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. This week’s highlighted band is Fushitsusha. Aside from cuts from three of their records, the “tape” is rounded out with a bunch of weirdness and even some mainstream jams. Also, two tracks from the soundtrack from the Gregg Araki movie Nowhere. As always, these songs will be removed if desired by the band or those who represent them. Let me know and I will gladly comply. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
