Last night I ran around town, and eventually ended up at Z’s place, where folks were making their way through a bottle of fine wine. I drove us all to the diner where we hatched a plan to write a spoof of an MTV dating show that we hope to get filmed. I’ve written an introduction to this point, but that’s all it is.
Tonight we’ll have the first Musky Taint practice since August, and that will be the lineup that includes myself, Z, Ilya and Ken. Recordings will be made and fawned over, unless they suck, in which case you’ll never hear me mention it again after this moment.
Sunday “Mix Tape” number…43, is it? For you “nubes” out there, here are the rules: I’ve got 100MB of webspace and every week I manifest a new compilation for your iPod’s and your Kingklangs or whatever you kids use to listen to music these days. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together. This week I’m choosing to highlight the new Tom Waits compilation Orphans by including two tracks. Other than that, it’s pretty much a lazy trip through whatever is currently stored on hard drive. These songs will be removed if desired by the band or those who represent them. Let me know and I will gladly comply. The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll buy their albums.
