Last night’s wedding was pretty insane. There’s some interesting DNA in this family. My dad’s side is all nuts (and some fruits) and my mom’s side is very um…Free-spirited? Both sides have histories of drug/alcohol addiction, so you know a family wedding is going to be a hot party.
I’m not one to boast about alcohol intake but I got really trashed last night. I’m talking about grinding with old ladies on the dance floor, trashed. I’m talking about flirting with and taking phone numbers from sixteen year old girls, trashed. I’m talking about round-after-round of tequila and kamikaze shots while holding jack-and-cokes in my free hand, trashed. In all it’s sloppiness and depravity it was kind of beautiful. There’s more I can’t say (and won’t say) for obvious reasons, but I’m sure if you speak to me regularly you’ll hear all about it.
I really like that side of the family much more than my father’s side. Everyone’s closer to my generation and shares similar sense of humor and predilection for substances. I’m sure I’ll get some pictures from my cousins in the near future.
