EVACUANT

I don’t usually choose to update each of the eight days in a standard working-week (fourteen days on a non-standard or “irregular week”), but I’m very bored this afternoon and despite the nice weather I’m inside watching little black spots dance up and down the white walls in this room. There’s a football game on, but it’s merely there for white noise purposes.

Yesterday I met Sam and Lindsey (of “Sam and Lindsey” fame) in Edison and together we drove to Princeton for some record shopping and food consumption. Dinner included a bagel, a caramel brownie and a loaf of bread. For those of you keeping track at home, my all carb diet has seen me gain much weight recently. I’m up to a whopping 147 pounds. High five!

Details of my being hospitalized for “exhaustion” (read: manorexia) have been vastly overstated.

While not my greatest haul ever, I managed to walk away with some nice vinyl. Purchases included:

Rolling Stones – Let it Bleed
Neil Young – Zuma
The Byrds – Sweetheart of the Rodeo
Tom Waits – Nighthawks at the Diner
Mayo Thompson – Corky’s Debt To His Father
Naked Raygun – Treason 12″

For a grand total of $24.55 which is a pretty sweet deal considering a quick glance at eBay shows the Naked Raygun limited edition pink vinyl is worth three times what I paid for all five records. Now that’s smart (read: Jewish) shopping for you.
